Description: We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Graduate Engineering Trainee (GET) in Mechanical Engineering with a strong interest in CAD modelling, reverse engineering, and vendor coordination. This role is ideal for recent graduates who are eager to apply their academic knowledge in a practical, fast-paced engineering environment.
Responsibilities:

Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software (Fusion360).

Create and revise 2D drawings and 3D models based on engineering specifications.

Support reverse engineering activities by analysing existing components and recreating accurate CAD models.

Collaborate with senior engineers to support product development and prototyping.

Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintain accurate documentation of designs, revisions, and project notes.

Support testing and validation of mechanical systems and components.

Identify and evaluate vendors for mechanical components and services.

Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotations, technical details, and lead times.

Assist in procurement processes including preparing purchase requests and tracking deliveries.
Required Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and mechanical design principles.

Proficiency in at least one CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, Creo, Fusion360, Simens Nx).

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment with a positive and enthusiastic attitude
Preferred Qualification:

Internship or academic project experience in CAD modelling or mechanical design.

Familiarity with GD&T, tolerance analysis, and manufacturing processes.

Basic knowledge of FEA or simulation tools is a plus.

Exposure to vendor management or procurement processes is an advantage.
