Description: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Instrumentation & Control Systems Engineer to support the development of electrolyser test stations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the design, implementation, and commissioning of control systems, with strong capabilities in instrumentation selection, control loop design, process integration, and electrical systems. Experience with Siemens TIA Portal, WinCC HMI development, and electrical panel design is essential. A solid understanding of process instrumentation, data acquisition, system integration, and electrical schematics and wiring is required; direct experience in electrochemical systems is not mandatory
Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using Siemens S7-1200 PLCs and TIA Portal.

Develop intuitive and responsive WinCC HMI interfaces for industrial applications.

Lead control system development from initial concept through commissioning, including documentation.

Specify and select components based on control system requirements, ensuring compatibility, reliability, and performance

Design and supervise electrical control panels, including wiring diagrams, component selection, and layout.

Take ownership of electrical requirements, ensuring proper design, integration, and compliance.

Perform PLC programming, testing, and troubleshooting during FAT and SAT.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and engineers

Electric schematic drawing skills

Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.
Required Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Instrumentation, or related field.

Proven experience in TIA Portal and Siemens PLCs.

Strong knowledge of control systems, industrial protocols (Profibus, Modbus), and automation architecture.

Experience in WinCC HMI development.

Experience with RS-232/RS-485 communication protocols.

Hands-on experience in electrical panel design and wiring.

Ability to manage projects independently from design to commissioning.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualification:

Experience with other PLC platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Schneider).

Familiarity with SCADA systems and IIoT integration.

Knowledge of safety systems and standards (SIL, IEC 61508).
